Honolulu Ave, Glendale, Montrose, CA - Restaurant Reviews - Phone Number - Menu. Honolulu Ave. Montrose, CA9. We love this place.

Honestly we come at least once a week for the last year. When we went in and asked for a table they told us that it would be about 5 minutes and to wait outside; at night, in 5. Watch Active Adults stream with english subtitles ultra HD.

This may seem reasonable if it was crowded inside but we were the only ones waiting and there was plenty of space for 2 people at the door. Then when the person invited us back inside for a table he went to sit us at a table for 2. Next to it was a table that sat 4 and we wanted to sit next to eachother.

Though the restaurant was within an hour of closing and was only about 6. I get that there's a policy on a full night to sit as many people as possible, but to make us wait outside on a cold night then not let us sit next to eachother with plenty of availability.. The male server here has been so disrespectful to me.

Including but not limited to walking away from me mid sentence while ordering two separate times during this visit and rolling his eyes as I spoke. Completely disregarding my existence. No one deserves to be treated this way. The other young lady server was so amazing yet that does nothing as this establishment has allowed a person of this caliber to be employed here and I can guarantee that this was not the first time he has done this. I was so embarrassed because my four coworkers saw how this played out and were so upset with his treatment towards me.

I would say, something has to change at this place. Small area and hard to move around if you're going to the bathroom .. But overall.. So disappointed with the quality of the food.

Spoiled avocado in the sushi rolls and what happened to salmon sashimi??? Horrible. Great location, The service was good, and the environment friendly.

I wasn't a fan of the food. Unfortunately I experienced some not so great quality fish, and it was a tad bit overpriced for the quality of food. This place has really good lunch specials, and their sushi is always very fresh.

Last time I came here, I ordered the Sushi 4 pcs and Tempura 4 pcs with the udon. I was very satisfied with the meal, and the portions were generous. My mom ordered the Chef's Special 7 pcs with salad and miso soup, which she enjoyed. They gave us additional sushi as service. It was really good. We were trying to find something tasty in the area for lunch and didn't want to travel too far. Here in Montrose we have a restaurant called Blue Fish which is what you would surmise from the name.

It's a Japanese restaurant specializing in sushi. Very americanized but that being said, they do have very high quality ingredients (although they did not have toro that day we went). Since their lunch menu included ramen and I hadn't had ramen for a while, I decided to go with that. It was a tonkatsu/shoyu ramen. I was a little disappointed because I had to remind them not only of what I ordered to eat (it came out wrong) but also what I had ordered to drink (I didn't get anything). Not terribly busy that day so not sure what got lost in the communication. It was in the middle of lunch time and I wouldn't say they were too busy.

Not many Asian people though interestingly! Best sushi experience I've ever had!! Our dog got a complimentary water when we sat outside and we got a little appetizer (ceviche) and orange for dessert on the house the sushi itself was top notch and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Meh. Sushi from Ralph's market is much better. Love, LOVE this place. One of the better Japanese places in this area while maintaining a resonable price range. The other side is much more casual and is the side that is .

I also get the Miso Ramen from time to time when I'm feeling especially naughty ; ). The staff is very friendly and will treat you like family if you become a regular. YAAAY, HAPPY ASIAN FOOD FOR EVERYONE. The beef: wish they had their Ramen options added to the dinner menu. Seriously decline in quality. Went on Wednesday and was served rotten avocados and old fish.

So disappointed blue fish. What a shame. Sad to see this place go down hill, FAST. I guess you just can't replace good service.

Very obvious to see that once Danny left, things are not operating as smooth. He was the glue that held this place together but sadly things have just fallen apart for this establishment. We went in on January 2nd and it was pretty empty inside. The servers here always offer great customer service and are very attentive.

Only thing I don't like about this place is that most of their rolls have just a California Roll base and all the other fish, mayo, etc. Oyster shot is my most recent favorite at sushi joints and I just started getting them, and I was not at all disappointed with the Oyster Shot at Blue Fish. I definitely recommend it to all oyster/oyster shot fans! This was the best they've made so far.

It was crunchy on the outside and perfectly cooked and soft on the inside. Topped with spicy mayo, mayo, and eel sauce, definitely a must have here, I recommend this to everyone who loves, or at least, doesn't mind lobster.

Again, it was made to perfection, crispy rice on the outside, soft on the inside, topped with the perfect amount of tuna, avocado, and the sauces. Some places make this either with too much rice or too much tuna.

Here, it is the proportional and right amount. I definitely recommend it! Nothing special about it, but it was definitely good. Nothing that makes it different from all the other sushi joints.

We ordered a dynamite roll, and it was simple California Roll, and on the side, they put a mountain of onions, scallops, lobster, and mushrooms. First of all, the mushroom and onions overpower the scallops and lobster. Second, they didn't even put it on top of the roll, it was just on the side.

How do you even eat that? Again, it was California Roll topped with a bunch of different fish. The idea of the roll was good, but I did not like the fact that all the fish and everything is just sitting on top of the California Rolls. It just makes it much more inconvenient and difficult to eat.

The lunch specials offer a plentiful amount of food. My friend got a huge helping of spicy sashimi salad which came with a miso soup which he couldn't even finish due to the large portion. I love variety so I got the 4 pc sushi with a handroll that came along with udon. Chef recognized my sister and I (we come here a lot : P) and gave us a small sashimi plate to enjoy on the house which was very sweet! Normally my sister and I don't go for specialty rolls as we are sashimi snobs, but she got the Popcorn lobster roll (again), as their baby lobster rolls here are no joke! They are so nice here.

The manager is so on top of things, it's just nice to feel appreciated as a customer. He opened my 5 year old daughters chopsticks for her and put them in her hand today. He's not only great at managing, he's multitasking with children lol. This is our go to sushi crave spot and I don't think I'll ever stop reviewing here when I have a good experience. I don't know Montrose restaurants without having Blue Fish around.

It made itself at home here and I believe it's on top to stay for a long long time. Thank you Blue Fish!!! I traditionally spend about $1. Blue Fish - for years!

The last couple Of months I tested out Sake in between my Blue Fish visits. Sake is across the street.

I called to place an order and was put on hold for 1. So I drove up there - while on hold and showed them I was still on hold! I will not be back - it misses Danny for leadership, quality and soul! It was a little busy but we got a table right away. We shared the assorted tempura, spicy tuna roll, salmon sushi, unagi, kanpachi and Spanish mackerel. Everything was tasty and fresh but the salmon was a little stringy. My favorite was the spicy tuna!

The menu is also huge so you're bound to find something you like. The portions were generous and the service was good.

I'll definitely come back for take out after work. My husband and I stopped in here today. The fis was a nice quality, fresh and tender. We ordered the Heart Attack and another that I forgot the name but was spicy tuna and cream cheese that was then deep fried.

They were very satisfying. The service was great. I was really a wonderful meal.

We will be back again! Blue Fish is consistently great, friendly, and attentive!

We come here frequently and have never been disappointed.
